An Architect, environmentalist, filmmaker, writer of prose and poetry. A lover of nature and life. Tariq has been a practicing architect for 37 years. He has specialised in the design of schools and hospitals and was visiting faculty at the Harvard School of Public Health, Boston for 8 years. He has been invited to lecture internationally and in Pakistan. He is the author of two bilingual books. His environmental films, photographs and paintings have been exhibited in 11 group and solo gallery shows. The Time Magazine in their Oceans Issue July 2022, published an 8 page spread on Tariq and his story to save the mangroves of Karachi’s islands. Tariq has presented at COP27 in Sharm al Sheikh, Egypt, where he spoke and showed his film ‘A STORY OF SURVIVAL’. Currently he is producing films, working on a set of four books on the Indus Delta, in addition to running his Architectural practice.
