
Farzeen Aziz is a filmmaker based in Lahore, Pakistan. She has done her MPhil in Multimedia Arts from the National College of Arts and is currently a visiting lecturer there, teaching Research Methods and Visual Review. She has previously worked as a documentary maker for UNICEF for their advocacy campaigns and research for maternal-child health care. She is the only female to have won the award granted by the US Consulate for her short documentary revolving around a drum circle during her International Visitors’ Leadership Program in Santa Fe in 2019, by the name of ‘Amreekanama’ in 2020. In 2021, during her grant with Patakha Pictures, her animation for precarious status of transgender health during the Covid and the dearth of policies, got selected to be presented at the 7th Global Symposium on Health Systems Research in Bogota, Columbia.
