Janan Sindhu is a film graduate from National College of Arts, Lahore and has been working as an independent  film director and producer since 2018. Hailing from Khipro in Pakistan’s southern province of Sindh, Sindhu’s work has been focusing on the relationship of the ecological and the social. His most recent documentary – Bulhan: The Blind Dolphin, sheds light on the Indus River Dolphin.

"Bulhan - The Blind Dolphin" is a wildlife conservation documentary centered on the rare Indus Blind Dolphin, a species found exclusively in the fresh waters of Pakistan's Indus River. Known as Bulhan in Sindhi and Seraiki, this endangered mammal faces numerous threats to its survival.

The documentary highlights the critical efforts of the Sindh Wildlife Department Sukkur, in collaboration with WWF-Pak, in the conservation of Bulhan. It takes viewers on an exhilarating journey, showcasing the dramatic rescue of a blind dolphin from the canals back to its home in the River Indus.
