Kavindu is renowned for his ability to capture subtle nuances and infuses his films with authenticity and a natural aesthetic. Rajitha Hettiararchchi - Rajitha Hettiarachchi is a Sri Lankan writer-director and lawyer, who holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He began his career writing for theater as part of Ananda Drama and currently works as Story Master at Kehelmala Productions. He is the Founder and Creative-Director of the experimental theater group IdeaCouch and is a Fellow of the ARThinkSouthAsia Fellowship for South Asian arts entrepreneurs. The stage play Grease Yaka Returns co-written and co-directed by Rajitha won 10 awards including Best Play, Best Director, and Best Script at the State Drama Festival 2019 and was also chosen to represent Sri Lanka at the Bharat Rang Mahotsav, South Asia’s biggest theater festival. Rajitha often draws from lived experiences for his work and gravitates towards exploring deeper themes and stories through the focus on small and intimate moments.
