Zebunnisa Hamid is an Assistant Professor of Film and Screen Studies in the Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies (CLCS) program in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at LUMS. Her research focuses on New Pakistani Cinema, gender, the cinematic city, and the Global South on screen. She has trained as a film editor at The Edit Centre in New York and worked as a production consultant on Mira Nair’s film, The Reluctant Fundamentalist. She has also served on Pakistan’s Oscar Committee and, is co-founder of the Filmi Happy Hour, a podcast on film.
